Sliding doors

Is it easy to synchronise 2 linked sliding doors ? Let's go !

First create your doors :

There is 3 primitives linked. The 2 doors are childs. Select the left door with option "Edit linked parts" and drop the script Setup Move in the inventory :

You get this menu :

So put your door in close position and click on "DONE". You get a new menu :

Change the position of the door to get the open state :

Then click on "DONE". You get this menu :

Select one of the 3 buttons : Owner cmd, Group cmd or All cmd.

Take care : dont select "Owner", "Group" or "All" because they dont send linked message for other scripts mover in the same object.

You get a new menu :

Select "Infinite". You get a new menu :

Select 5s. You get a new menu :

Select "Cosinus". You get a new menu :

Select "10s". You get a new menu :

Select 5s. You get a new menu :

Select "Cosinus". You get a new menu :

You can test your move with "Test" button and change all parameters :

When all is ok click on "End" button, you get a new menu :

Click on "Go to page". Copy the informations in the web page and paste them in a notecard that you call setupmove :

Now drop this notecard and the script Simple Move in the inventory of the door primitive :

Take care to use option "Edit linked parts" ! Now your left door is ready ! You can add sounds for the 2 states :

The sounds must have these names : SoundPos1 and SoundPos2.

Follow the same process to set the right door. Then you get new parameters and you create a new notecard setupmove for this right door :

Look at the last line, this is the channel number. You must change it to get the same that the one for the left door :

Now you can drop the notecard and the script Simple Move in the inventory of the right door primitive :

All is ok now. You can click on left or right door, the 2 doors are trigered.

A pendulum

Do you want a rotating door with soft move ? Easy with Simple Move !

First create your pendulum :

I made it with 3 linked primitives : the ball, the axis and a little one at the end of the axis :

This little primitive must be the root. I will be the axis of the move. Now drop the script Setup Move in your pendulum :

You get a menu :

So put your pendulum in the first position (with good rotation) :

Click on "DONE" button. You get a new menu :

So put your pendulum in the second position (with good rotation) :

Take care not to change position ! And click on "DONE" button. You get a new menu :

Select one of the 3 buttons : Owner, group or All (the buttons with "cmd" are if you want your pendulum to command another object and button "Passive" if your pendulum is triggered from another object). You get a new menu :

Select "0s". You get a new menu :

Select "2s". You get a new menu :

Select "Cosinus". You get a new menu :

Select "0s". You get a new menu :

Select "2s". You get a new menu :

Select "Cosinus". You get a new menu :

You can test your move if you click on "test" :

You can change all paramaters. At the en you click on "End" button :

A new menu that ask you to get the parameters on a web page. Click on "Go to page", copy the elements in a notecard that you call setupmove :

Drop this notecard in the pendulum inventoiry and the script Simple Move :

At the end of the setup your pendulum is ready ! You can stop or start movement o a click.

A beating heart

A beating heart is always nice and easy to make with Simple Move. Let's go !

First create your heart, a sculpty is the best :

Drop the script Setup Move in the inventory :

You get this menu :

Adjust the scale of the heart and click on "DONE". You get a new menu :

Change the scale of the heart to get the second state. Use option "Stretch Both Sides" to not change heart position. :

Then click on "DONE". You get this menu :

Select one of the 3 buttons : Owner, Group or All. You get a new menu :

Select "0s". You get a new menu :

Select 2s. You get a new menu :

Select "Cosinus". You get a new menu :

Select "0s". You get a new menu :

Select 2s. You get a new menu :

Select "Cosinus". You get a new menu :

A blind

Move a blind with Simple Move is really easy. Let's go !

First create your blind :

There is 2 primitives linked. The blind here is the child. Select the blind with option "Edit linked parts" and drop the script Setup Move in the inventory :

You get this menu :

So put your blind in its shut state (position and scale) and click on "DONE". You get a new menu :

Change the scale of the blind to get the open state :

Take care not to change the top position, dont use the option "Stretch Both Sides" ! Just move the bottom. Then click on "DONE". You get this menu :

Select one of the 3 buttons : Owner, Group or All. You get a new menu :

Select "Infinite". You get a new menu :

Select 5s. You get a new menu :

Select "Cosinus". You get a new menu :

Select "Linear". You get a new menu :

Select "Infinite". You get a new menu :

A door

Do you want a rotating door with soft move ? Easy with Simple Move !

You must add a primitive on the door axis and make it transparent, and link your door to it, the axis primitive must be the root :

Now drop the script Setup Move in your door :

You get a menu :

So put your door in the first position (with good rotation) and click on "DONE" button. You get a new menu :

So put your door in the second position (with good rotation) :

And click on "DONE" button. You get a new menu :

Select one of the 3 buttons : Owner, group or All (the buttons with "cmd" are if you want your door to command another object and button "Passive" if your door is triggered from another object). You get a new menu :

You can choose the time for position 1. If you want your door to stay in the position untill you clic again choose "infinite". You get a new menu :

With this menu you select the transition time, for example 5s is a good value for a door. You get a new menu :

Now you select the transition type : linear or cosinus. This last option is more natural for a door. You get a new menu :

Select the time for position 2. For a door the best way if "Infinite". You get a new menu :
